Whether for business or as a life change, travelling abroad can have a great deal of benefits. However, before heading off to foreign shores, it is important to prepare well. This is particularly the case with regards getting everything in place for medical care.
As a starting point, the Foreign & Commonwealth (FC) and Department of Health (DoH) websites should be checked for advice regards vaccinations and the like. This should be done at the earliest opportunity, but certainly within 4 to 8 weeks of departing.
For those people with pre-existing conditions, it is also important to talk directly with the GP. As well as being able to guide you on certain areas, they may also be able to give you more personal advice.
