Plans to only issue work visas to foreign workers with expatriate insurance in the Maldives have been postponed from their starting date of January 1st 2011.
According to Haveeru newspaper, the Department of Immigration and Emigration pushed back proposals to make sure all expat workers are covered by international health insurance because of a number of requests.
